The divine intervention of God is manifested through God’s visionary for Divine Faith Ministries International,
Pastor Donald E. Battle and his wife of 34 years, Gwen.

Pastor Battle and his wife Gwen boast of the growth and spiritual development of their three adult daughters,
TaVondria (Vonnie B), Jamie and Christie, all of whom work and are very involved with the ministry. They are
blessed with five grandchildren.

Pastor Battle is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, where he met and married his high school sweetheart,
Gwen. He served in the U.S Army six years and served 15 years in Georgia law enforcement as a police
detective for the City of Atlanta. The career of Pastor Battle was enhanced with additional education as a
graduate from Georgia State University with a B.S. in criminal justice. Various Christian Schools were attended
resulting in a Master of Divinity and a honorary doctorate degree.

The ministry began in 1990 as Divine Faith Baptist Church. Pastor Battle’s consistent obedience to God has
taken Divine Faith Baptist Church of 60 members to Divine Faith Ministries International currently with a
membership of over 8,000.

Preparing disciples for Christ, Divine Faith Ministries International is experiencing fast growth in winning souls for
the Lord. The ministry has seen tremendous growth both spiritually and physically. DFMI exists to teach God’s
plan for humanity. The ministry is a model church for God’s love, expressing the unity of His people and the
means by which God’s Spirit can draw others toward him. Pastor Battle has ministered throughout the U.S and
abroad and continues to operate in the anointing of Jesus Christ.

A leader in the community, Pastor Battle has served as president of the Policy Action Committee, for the
Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County. Under his leadership the Clayton County Public Schools’
Mentorship Forum was established. The forum includes County business leaders, state court judges, politicians
and pastors who serve as advisers, and interact with high school students in establishing and realizing their
goals. Pastor Battle also led the charge in creating a youth offender program in Clayton County that encouraged
state court judges to get the churches involved with the young adult offenders’ community service program.

DFMI also has a state of the art television studio where Soaring With Eagles Television Broadcast reaches
thousands of homes weekly; and various recording artists and ministries have utilized the studio for their
recording needs. Recently, birthed into the ministry is Stir-It-Up TV, hosted by Vonnie B (Pastor’s daughter
TaVondria) and airs weekly on Atlanta's TV 57.

A servant of God and of the people in the communities surrounding the ministry, Pastor Battle and Co-Pastor
Gwen Battle operate a day care program, DFM Christian Academy and DFM School of Biblical Studies. DFMI
south has seen continuous and consistent growth through the years. We are overflowing with worshippers
during three services every Sunday at our south location in Jonesboro, GA which seats 1500 and a balcony is
being constructed to accommodate an additional 600 seats and our corporate office in Duluth, GA, has a
sanctuary that seats 900. The plans for the Family Life Center are currently being reviewed. This facility will
have a regulation size gymnasium, a state of the art commercial kitchen and cafeteria. Additionally, it will house
a shopping area, meeting rooms, senior citizens area, our Christian Academy and more.

Pastor Battle served as the World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship South East Regional Director for the
states of Georgia and Florida; and he was recently named National Director of WHCMF.

The magnitude of spiritual growth and achievements at DFMI are first credited to God and many great warriors
and messengers of Christ, especially to the spiritual father and mentor of Pastor Battle, Pastor Rod Parsley, the
renowned preacher and Pastor of World Harvest Church and Breakthrough Ministries in Columbus, Ohio.

An awesome man of God – Pastor Battle’s messages of FAITH are powerful and overflowing with real life
scenarios that make the WORD so clear. He is extraordinarily gifted with an ear for music and sound. He is an
avid reader and relates and shares messages from a variety of authors in an effort to teach us to become well
rounded and well read. Pastor Battle frequently uses various types of music to bring home a message of love,
hope and peace. He has an infectious spirit of love for people, especially children, that permeates throughout the
ministry. Because of pastor Battle’s boldness, we have begun to take bold steps of faith to ensure God’s plan for
our lives comes to fruition.
